The
KVK, Sagroli has organized a 3-day Agro-tech festival for the benefit of
farmers and associated stake holders on 9th 10th & 11th
of January at the Campus.
The
festival was inaugurated by Dr.K.Dattedri, principal scientist, ATARI,
Hyderabad. The sessions on each of the three days were planned meticulously to
benefit maximum number of farmers seeking support and information in various
aspects of their agricultural practices.
The
festival addressed issues on Modern, beneficial agricultural practices,
supplementary practices, Agro-ventures, Initiatives of Nationalized Banks,
NABARD and other financial institutions in support of the marginal farmers.
Theme
under Animal Husbandry has educated the
participants with a number of options available to them to venture into dairy
farming, Goat farming, Poultry, Apiculture, Animal breeding etc.

The
Exclusive women’s day was organized on the second day which attracted thousands
of women from sagroli and 50 surrounding villages to participate the whole day
of events. Field experts of Self Help
Group discussed the issues related to
the subject while a special invitee, Mrs. Aparna Ramtirthakar, a renowned
feminist, critique and social activist spoke at length to address the need to
strengthen the woman’s Self-confidence and secure her role in the family and
society.
The
KVK has provided food and accommodation to all of the participants for all the
three days.
