Giving Back – Proud of our school Alumni




1) Nichiket Aardhye, an Alumni of Military School, now working as professor at Pune,also he is director of Rotary Club, Pashan, Pune, extended a helping hand with educational kit to 25 girl students of Balgram.  He visited the campus on the occasion of Republic day and took part in the celebration.







2) Vidya Deshmukh, an alumni of Balgram, now working as a staff Nurse at Bharati Hospital, Pune, has gifted sports outfit to 105 children of Balakmandir and Sagroli Sunrise Sports Project. Also, gifted School Bag each to 30 girls students of Balgram.  She visited the campus on 20th Janurary, on the occasion of celebration of 60th Birth Anniversary of Mr. Pramod Deshmukh.

60th Birth Anniversary celebrated of our Leader :

 The concluding function of the Shashtyabdhi poorthi (completion of 60 years) of Hon’ble Chairman, Shri Pramod Deshmukh, marked historical moments at the campus on the 20th of January.
The occasion was presided over by H.H.Dnyanraj Manik PrabhuMaharaj, Sansthan Manik Nagar while Dr. Vikas Amte, Anandwan, Varora and Shri Subhash Sabne, M.L.A. (who is also an alumnus of SSM)  graced the dais as the privileged guests of honor.
Earlier to this occasion, a series of development activities were manifested throughout during the year 2016, covering all the domains of SSM’s endeavor.
The Celebration committee has identified individuals, who have extended commendable and selfless services to the society in their respective fields, in Nanded District and in recognition of their services they were grandly  felicitated on the occasion.
Dr. Dilip Punde for  medical Services, Shri Sunil Aloorkar for  innovative approach  in the field education, Shri Sadashiv PAtil for  prodctive & experimentative approach in the field of Agriculture and Smt. Parvati tai Jadhav, for the commendable achievement in empowering women communities and bringing up revolutionary changes in the SHG movement.
The gathering continued for more than 3 hours, recounted many a historical achievements of SSM right since its inception in 1959.  The icon of the celebration Shri Pramod Deshmukh spoke his heart and expressed his wishes in support of the endeavor and ideology of SSM’s mission.
H.H. The Manik Prabhu Maharaj blessed the gathering during his presidential address and sought devotion of the volunteers towards the noble cause.

Sanskar Bharati’s Thematic Presentations at the Cultural Programme:



        The sagroli charter of Sanskar Bhari has organized a colorful cultural evening on 7th January at Sagroli Village.
        The Sanskar Bharati is a social and cultural platform, aims to rejuvenate the traditional cultural forms of art like dance, instrumental music, painting, Rangoli and handicrafts etc which are fading out due to lack of encouragement.  The team also incorporates value education in its presentations.

         This campaign has also helped the artists of various folklore styles to surface and present their art.  As a result, the Diminishing Marathwada Cultural Presentation like Kalgitura, Bharud, Pothraj geet, Povada, Mahalakshmi Geet, Ovya, Bhulayi, Shiral geet, Waghya Murali, Lavni, etc are once again coming into limelight.

Industrial and Technical exhibition organised at Vocational Training Centre:






        The technical and vocational education department of SSM has organised a bi-day exhibition at the campus.  Innovative ideas were invited from students and technical guidance was provided by the faculty to try their ideas.
        The 3rd and 4th January have witnessed boisterous responses from  the overwhelming number of  participants and visitors as well.  The students of vocational courses (V3 and V1) presented novel exhibits on the themes like cashless Money, Plastic Money, Computer history and applications. In another section, the technical education students exhibited electrical/electronic and automobile gadgets.

The exhibition has certainly provided a platform for the eager young men & women  to visualize and give a shape to their innovative  ideas.

Dental Checkup Camp conducted for school children:

        A free dental checkup camp was conducted for the residential  & day school children of SSM’s Schools, Orphanages, Balak Mandir and Balgram.
        Renowned Dental Cosmetic Surgeons Dr. Mahesh Bilapale and Dr. Jayshri Bilapale from Latur, visited campus on 31st December and conducted dental checkup for about 100 students.  The children suffering from dental cavities and other gums related ailments were given treatment and medicines.  Later, they have also arranged an awareness session using multi-media presentation on dental hygiene and maintenance of oral health.  


A 3-day Agro-tech Festival Organized by KVK :




        The KVK, Sagroli has organized a 3-day Agro-tech festival for the benefit of farmers and associated stake holders on 9th 10th & 11th of January at the Campus.
        The festival was inaugurated by Dr.K.Dattedri, principal scientist, ATARI, Hyderabad. The sessions on each of the three days were planned meticulously to benefit maximum number of farmers seeking support and information in various aspects of their agricultural practices.
        The festival addressed issues on Modern, beneficial agricultural practices, supplementary practices, Agro-ventures, Initiatives of Nationalized Banks, NABARD and other financial institutions in support of the marginal farmers.
        Theme under Animal Husbandry  has educated the participants with a number of options available to them to venture into dairy farming, Goat farming, Poultry, Apiculture, Animal breeding etc.
        The Exclusive women’s day was organized on the second day which attracted thousands of women from sagroli and 50 surrounding villages to participate the whole day of events.  Field experts of Self Help Group  discussed the issues related to the subject while a special invitee, Mrs. Aparna Ramtirthakar, a renowned feminist, critique and social activist spoke at length to address the need to strengthen the woman’s Self-confidence and secure her role in the family and society.

        The KVK has provided food and accommodation to all of the participants for all the three days. 

Study Material supported by Helping Hands, Nanded




        The Members of Helping Hands, Nanded a Social Service group, have recently visited SSM. They spent lot of time at the Balgram and Sevashram hostels and held interaction with the students.Later they came forward to provide Study Material to a 100 needy students of SSM’s schools.
        In addition, the charity group has also sponsored sports material to the promising ‘Sagroli Sunrise’ athletes of SSM.

         The facilitation department of SSM has carried out the distribution of the material and expressed a note of thanks to Helping Hands.
